Welcome
Dear traveller of the distant stars, you have reached Stargazer, a webclique for those who love the night sky above. Stargazer, like others in the genre of joinable websites, brings together webmasters under a common theme—in this case, the sky at night and all those things contained within or related to it. If you have a website and a selfsame appreciation for anything astronomical (or even astrological), why, you're just who we're looking for!
While Stargazer has the typical webclique stuff—free advertisement via the members page, cute & sparkly banners, et cetera—it also offers something just a little bit different: the ability to adopt a star! Members can choose a star of their very own, name it and then place it on the aptly titled “Stargazer Map of the Universe”, featured at the top of every page. Check out the stars above, and after joining, if you're so inclined, aid in the expansion of the universe by adding your very own star ∗

Update June 24, 2012:
I've recently been notified that the forms on Stargazer are not working. I apologize to everyone who's submitted and never heard back from me. Turns out the script stopped emailing me about submissions and update requests.I haven't been able to figure out the issue just yet, but I'm continuing to look into it. In the meantime, I'll try to periodically check the queue for new submissions. The problem has been fixed, for the time being. Please let me know if you submit but don't hear from me after, say, two weeks. New members have now been added, and updates have now been applied. Also, the "Create a Star" script should be working again. -
Update July 12, 2010:
Although Oceanflare.net and all sites therein are now archived, I will continue to add members to Stargazer, and stars to the "Stargazer Map of the Universe". It may not happen quickly, but it will happen. If anything is awry, let me know. -
Update August 9, 2009:
A few of you notified me of a problem with the form—it's now been corrected. Sorry about that! -
Update August 6, 2008:
I noticed a strange margin/overflow error while viewing this layout in the new Firefox browser, which I have fixed with the unsavoury application of Javascript. Please let me know if anything looks strange (be sure to tell me your screen resolution, what browser and which version of that browser you're using). -
Update May 6, 2008:
A brand spankin' new layout for you all to enjoy. You may have noticed that I switched Nótt and Zorya around or that your star has otherwise moved from it's previous position. This is what I call "collateral damage". If you're really not happy with where your star now resides, you can ask me very nicely if it can be changed, and undoubtedly it will be.
